Florida State University

Dear Florida State University,
Your school has been enticing me for about a decade. I love the way the campus is laid out, the school spirit, and all of the tradition that comes along with being a student. If I am not granted a football scholarship to this university, I plan to walk on to the football team if I am accepted into this magnificent university. This beloved school is about six hours away from my home in Seminole County. This would allow me to stay in contact with my family and friends.I was inspired by this university because of one person. I have never had a father in my life, however I always had a father figure who happened to be living next door. He graduated from the university and is a total fanatic, he is the only person who is a bigger fan of Florida State than myself. Anytime I was having troubles he would cheer me up by taking me to a game, or just take me to a sports bar to watch a game just take a load off of my shoulders. Then I laid my eyes on the Seminoles, the rest was history.
When I first laid eyes on the campus it was extravagant. All of the students were welcoming, everything is easy to get to, and every student eats, sleeps, and breaths Florida State University. When you enter the stadium there is a huge statue of the greatest coach of all time, Bobby Bowden. As soon as you see his statue before entering his stadium, you are automatically taken back by its gravitas. Then you feel welcomed to enter the one and only Doak Cambell Stadium.
The university would benefit by me attending the school by many things. I was always active with football, basketball, student government, and weightlifting. I can join the football team. I have started three years at my high school. As a sophomore, I shattered many records. I can also bring my leadership skills to Florida State. I was captain of the football team. I was also in Student Government since my seventh grade year. Being in student government gives you many qualities that other things cannot give you. I learned how to advertise and sell things, also I learned how to get along with many people that I would not normally get along with. I also maintained a 3.65 GPA while participating in all of these activities.
By accepting me into my dream school, you will get many things. An athlete, a committed student, a student that could better the school, and most of all, receiving a student who will be the most school spirited student at Florida State University.

Sincerely,
Michael McCoy
